Regular Cruise Night, 157 cars were registered. The weatherman did his best to scare everyone away, but after a few menacing clouds that did not do anything, the weather cleared up and was absolutely perfect. There was a good turn out, even if many folks came a bit late. The lucky winner of the 50/50 draw took home $225.00. | Tonight's Lant Insurance, Nancy Kenthol Peoples Choice Winner is an eye catching beauty. The 1938 DeLuxe Ford Coupe, owned by Rick & Deb Huskisson of Newmarket Ontario has an interesting story to tell. Rick invested 4 years of his time, and considerable skills to rebuild this fantastic car. Except for the paint and interior, Rick did 100% of the restoration and custom work. The 1938 Coupe has the original steel body with crank out windshield. Rick made up a new flat panel fire wall and floor. The paint is a custom blended, one of a kind Tri Colour Yellow Pearl. As the sun's rays dance over the car, the pearl gleams in the background.There are 9 layers of paint. This car won "Best use of Colour" at the Syracuse Nationals of 2009. The Interior has an Ididit Steering Column, and Custom White and Tan Corinthian Leather. The Frame is a modified Chevy S10 has Gloss Black, 2" dropped spindles, de-arched and reversed rear springs, polished hand made exhaust, polished mufflers and gas tank The drive line is a small block Chevy moved back 7". It has a 4L60E Tranny. The drive shaft has been polished and shortened, with a Chevy rear end . This is a gorgeous car and will be on display next week in our "Winners Circle" Caution!! RAIN CAR! This 1995 Ford Aerostar is owned by our intrepid webmaster, he brings it when the weather is iffy as he comes from Mississauga. If you don't want to chance your regular antique vehicle in threatening weather, bring something else as a "rain car", as long as it is at least 15 years old. It is better than not coming at all.
