The Grand Opening Cruise was the biggest success ever with a capacity turnout, 625 cars were registered. The paved lot was completely filled and about 60 cars were parked in the grassy area in the North end of the property. The lucky winner of the 50/50 draw took home $825.00. This is Cheryl. | The car above is the Nancy Kenthol Peoples Choice winner from our opening Victoria Day Cruise. It is a 1947 Oldsmobile Country Club owned by Arnold Korne. This beautifully restored Series 66 Model came complete with Hypramatic Transmission, a custom radio, clock, fender skirts, wide white wall tires, directional signals, and even has trunk and under hood lighting. This gem was built in Oshawa and is powered by a 6 cylinder engine. The body on restoration was completed this past winter. This included paint, body & interior work plus re-chroming. This car has travelled 85,000 miles from the day it was built.

The car above is the Sponsor's Choice. Our Major sponsor of the Victoria Day opening Cruise since 2004 is of course Andy and Sue Eaton of AE Auto. The car that the Eaton Family chose is picture # 130. This sparkling red 57 T-Bird still has the original body work with no restoration done. The proud owner, Jon Berlinghoff has had this car for 27 years. Jon seems to have a "thing" about these vehicles, since he has had 17 small T-Birds in the last 38 years. Jon is the 3rd owner of this car , and it was purchased in Tennessee. This T-Bird is powered by a 312 motor with Automatic Transmission. The car sits on wire wheels, has Power .Steering, Power .Brakes, and Power Windows. It is classified as a "Port Hole H-Top and sports a white soft top. The colour is Torch Red and the car has travelled 82,000 miles.
